This little device is one of the best beauty products I have ever purchased and I’m not alone… InStyle, Elle, Allure and countless celebs including Oprah love it too! In fact, the queen of daytime television featured the Clarisonic several years ago as one of her “favorite things” and since then it has exploded in popularity. It cleans your skins, improves skin tone and texture and inspires serious devotion.

I live in the city of Seattle, and about a year ago my facialist noticed that my skin wasn’t getting clean enough. That meant my pores were looking larger resulting in dull looking skin. I’m religious about my skincare routine and my mother taught me never to go to bed with makeup on, but I suppose the daily workouts and city grime were taking a toll on my face.  So, when my facialist suggested I try the Clarisonic cleansing brush I was game.

 Instead of cleansing with my hands or a washcloth, I used the Clarisonic brush in small circles around my entire face. The device oscillates with a patented sonic frequency of more than 300 movements per second and gently removes six times more makeup and two times more dirt and oil than regular cleansing. It takes about 60 seconds and exfoliates the skin, reduces dry patches and blemishes, minimizes the appearance of pores and leaves the skin smoother healthier and more radiant. Plus, the Clarisonic allows me to get more benefit from my skincare products making the products last longer. (And for me…replacing expensive moisturizers and serums less frequently totally justifies the Clarisonic’s price tag.)

Another benefit…I have a fair complexion that unfortunately turns rather red and using the Clarisonic has reduced the ruddy quality of my skin making my complexion more even. My foundation has a flawless, smooth canvas but even without makeup my skin is much more radiant. One of the best things about the Clarisonic just might be the Holy Grail of beauty…it actually reduces wrinkles! I’m getting close to my 30’s and around my eyes and forehead I’m starting to see the effects of not wearing enough sunscreen during my teen years. After several weeks of using my Clarisonic twice a day the lines were softer and my face looked as if I had worn SPF 30 my entire life.

If you have sensitive skin or you’re wary about using a brush on your face not to worry. The Clarisonic offers several different brush heads including normal, sensitive, delicate and deep pore.  Also, just an FYI…since the Clarisonic thoroughly cleans your pores you might break out slightly for a few days when you first start using it. But never fear…the breakouts are short lived and well worth the clean, radiant skin that’s revealed.

Now when I visit my facialist she remarks on my very clean skin and its smooth, even texture and increased radiance. I’m in love! The Clarisonic has absolutely improved my skin and I recommend it for anyone who wants a gorgeous, smooth, glowing appearance.  A true must have for everyone’s skin care regime!
