  • Describe your career achievements in three words.

It’s hard to describe in 3 words – how about 3 phrases? Ethical Leadership – Creating a strong, inspired team – Building a strong business foundation.

  • Describe your career achievements in three words.

Thinking I would make a great blonde. NOT a good idea!

  • What is your nickname in the industry?

Superwoman. I am having the cape and tights sewn up now. Just cant decide on the Stars & Stripes or the Union Jack?

  • What has been your biggest life lesson?

Making the most of every day, as if it is your last. You never know what is around the corner. You can’t get those hours back so make them count.

  • What is your ultimate motivation song on your iPod?

Natalie Merchant – Thank You

  • Who is your biggest mentor and why?

Vidal Sassoon – Incredible innovator, inspiration and game changer. He made new rules about the industry that would change things forever. He also created a great team and had a strong brand loyalty and culture.

  • If you weren’t in beauty what job would you do?

I have a hundred businesses in me. I am an entrepreneur, so I am always thinking of cool fun ideas and businesses. However, if I had been born with a great voice I would have loved to be a singer/musician. I love music of all types. You are all glad I did not go down that road – my husband says I am tone deaf!

  •  If you were gifted with $1 million dollars what would do with it?

I would take $200k and travel around to experience many different cultures and play for a while. The rest I would take to create a sustainable business that helps those less fortunate while making a difference in our environment and future of this planet.

Now it’s your turn – what would you like to ask Gina? We grabbed a few top questions from our readers.

  • Tina asks: I am struggling in this economy to afford my regular appointments. How can I still look great but on a tighter budget?

Invest in a quality shampoo and conditioner that does not damage your hair but keeps it healthy and shiny. Then opt for a style that is low maintenance below the chin so that hair looks thicker but can be pulled back if it starts to look wispy between stylist appointments.

  • Susie asks: I am turning 40 and want to revamp my whole style. What is the one thing I should think about when talking to my stylist?

Always consult with your stylist about your lifestyle and let them know how much time you are willing to take to make it look great. Plan on about 15minutes to style your hair daily in order for it to look its’ best. Some styles require more time, some less, but make sure you can manage the style they are giving you and maybe get a lesson in maintaining the look. Your hair is your frame and when it looks great, you look great.

  • Dannii asks: I plan on opening a new salon this year. How do I go about choosing a product line that suits me best?

Look at your target market and ask yourself some questions. What products do they choose? Is this a brand that sits within your target market’s budget? Do you love it? You can’t sell something that you don’t love so make sure you and your your team believe in it!
