As a sensitive-skinned woman, I’m always on the lookout for products that won’t irritate me and make matters worse. And since I’m in my 30s, I’m more cognizant than ever of my need for effective anti-aging products – again, that won’t irritate my skin.

It’s a tough task, ladies.

Recently I was privileged enough to sample a few products from Dr. LeWinn by Kinerase. The reasonably priced anti-aging line is a mass market alternative to the much more expensive Kinerase collection. Offering everything needed for a complete regimen, the line includes a cleanser; SPF 30 lotion and cream; anti-wrinkle night and eye creams; SPF 20 lip balm; wrinkle filler; lifting serum; smoothing serum; and eye recovery cream. Naturally, its price point is a major plus – but are those dollars well spent? 

In a word: yes. As a victim of deep sensitivity, extreme redness and constant irritation, I found comfort and hydration in Dr. LeWinn by Kinerase. The HydraBalance Foaming Cleanser is the true standout. Thick and clear, it feels creamy to the touch and instantly develops into a substantial foam when mixed with water. It’s gentle enough to massage onto even the most sensitive spots, and it actually left some rough areas softer thanks to Aquaxyl, an ingredient that helps lock in moisture and improve the skin’s moisture balance. While it’s great at preventing dry skin, it also effectively removes makeup at the end of the day – even stubborn waterproof mascara. 

Though my eyes haven’t yet shown many visible signs of aging, I’m sure it’s only a matter of time. Under Eye Recovery is formulated for folks like me – it deflates visible puffiness, brightens up dark circles (I may not be visibly aging much just yet, but I’m definitely sleep-deprived) and prevents the development of bags. Eyeseryl is the magic ingredient that eliminates puff-causing fluid buildup and leaves the delicate skin firm and moisturized. 

My lips are already on the full side, but I’m not afraid to play around with various balms and plumpers in the name of beauty. The brand’s Lip Resculpt 3D Lip Balm SPF 20 is more than just a potent moisturizer; it’s also formulated to fatten up the lips within five minutes of application and increase moisture content; thereby resulting in a consistently supple pout. Though I haven’t tried many plumping lip products, I’ve used enough to experience that unpleasant tingling and burning sensation (made all the worse by my predisposed sensitivity). This balm, though, feels like butter.
