Friends and LA locals Hayden Slater, Carly Brien and Hedi Gores have conjured up what appears to be the hottest wellness business on the block: Pressed Juicery. Though juicing is nothing new to local Angelino’s, Pressed ups the ante and quality of the products by using a hydraulic press, a machine that squelches an entire fruit or vegetable into a pulp, extracting three to four times more than an average juicer. What grabbed me about this place was a statement made on their website: “Our bodies require vital nutrients to function at their optimal levels, and the quickest and most natural way to get them is through fresh juice.” Founded in Fall 2010, the business has proven it’s not just another LA trend, opening up it’s 3rd location last winter.
AMBIENCE
All 3 Los Angeles locations (Malibu, Brentwood and West Hollywood) can be found smack dab in the most bustling parts of town. Enter in to find a rather eager crowd anxiously awaiting their order of healthy, delicious, freshly pressed juice.
EXPERIENCE
In addition to selling fresh 16oz juices daily, 3 types of cleanses are offered, “Cleanse 1” which is a mix of sweeter juices and greens, “Cleanse 2” offers a balance between the two and “Cleanse 3” which is primarily greens.
