Forge into the Fight Against Fuzz
Painless and Permanent Hair Removal Options
Samantha Wilson  Posted Monday, February 13, 2012 by ,

Despite being covered up by sweaters and snow boots this time of year, the hair on our body still has a visible presence. For twelve months out of the year we continue to have a best-friend relationship with our razors, but it’s about time we throw out those razor blades and start permanently removing that annoying body hair.

Most people think the process of permanent hair removal is painful and time consuming, not to mention costly. However, there are a few options to give you the smooth, hairless body you’ve always wanted without breaking the bank (and ultimately will give you a few extra minutes under the covers in the morning!).

One device that can be used in the convenience of your own home is the no!no! Hair. This pain-free device uses heat to disrupt communication in the cell so the hair follicle will stop producing the hair. This technology, called Thermicon technology, works on any skin tone and for every hair color. It’s extremely easy to use: just move the device over the area to be treated. The small tip can even be used on facial hair. The no!no! Hair is only $270 and comes in pink or silver, so both men and women can feel comfortable using it. Most people start seeing results in only a month.

While waxing gives you a few weeks of silky skin, it’s extremely painful—and who likes to expose themselves to total strangers? Another at-home option is the Tria Hair Removal Laser, which uses the same technology as professionals to prevent hair growth. The Tria has five settings so you can adjust the strength depending on your comfort level. The Tria does work best on brown or black hair, so if you have blonde or red hair, this product is not your best option. With six months of consistent use, you should not have to wax or shave again! The Tria retails for $395, which is a fraction of the price you would pay in a doctor’s office.

Although these devices might be an initial investment, you’ll soon be able to say “Goodbye” to the shaving supply aisle at the drugstore and confidently end that relationship with your shaving cream.
